BBQ chicken wings with pineapple and chili glaze
BBQ chicken wings with a pineapple and chilli glaze combine the sweetness of pineapple with the spiciness of chilli to create a tasty barbecue dish. - 8 Chicken wings
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the pineapple and chili glaze:
- 150 g Pineapple pieces Fresh or canned
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes or fresh chopped chili
- 1 Garlic clove finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Juice of one lime
Prepare the glaze:
Puree the pineapple pieces and mix with the honey, soy sauce, chili flakes, garlic, ginger and lime juice in a pan.
Bring the mixture to the boil briefly and then leave to cool.
Barbecue:
Preheat the grill and grill the chicken wings over a medium heat for approx. 20 minutes, turning regularly.
In the last 5 minutes, brush the wings with the pineapple and chilli glaze and allow to caramelize.
