Smoked salmon is served with freshly grated horseradish, various types of bread and classic garnishes such as dill sauce and lemon wedges. A simple but festive Easter starter.

Cooking utensils

  • 1 Large serving platter
  • 1 Grater for horseradish
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Small bowls for side dishes

Ingredients
  

For the plate:

  • 200 g Smoked salmon
  • 1 fresh horseradish root
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 bunch of dill

For the side dishes:

  • 2 Varieties of bread e.g. rye bread and baguette
  • 100 g Cream cheese
  • 1 small red onion

Preparation
 

Prepare the horseradish:

  • Peel the horseradish and grate fresh
  • Season to taste with a little cream and lemon juice

Arrange on a platter:

  • Arrange the salmon in loose rosettes
  • Cut bread into slices
  • Put the cream cheese and chopped onion in small bowls
  • Garnish with lemon wedges and dill

Recommended side dishes:

  • Boiled eggs with horseradish
  • Pickled cucumbers
  • Fresh leaf salad
