For the flank steak:
- 500 g Flank steak
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
For the coffee rub:
- 2 tablespoon ground coffee
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder smoked
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients for the coffee rub in a bowl.
Rub the flank steak with olive oil and season generously with the rub.
Cover the steak and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Barbecue:
Preheat the barbecue to a high heat.
Grill the steak for approx. 4-5 minutes on each side until the desired level of doneness is reached.
Remove the steak from the grill and leave to rest for 5 minutes.
Cut into thin slices against the grain and serve.
