Grilled Frankfurter or Vienna sausages from the charcoal grill, served with fresh bread and mustard. A simple but delicious dish that is given a special touch by combining it with a glass of Grüner Veltliner from the Kamptal. Ideal for a relaxed barbecue meal outdoors.

  • 1 Barbecue tongs
  • 1 Chopping board and knife

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Frankfurter or Vienna sausages
  • 2 Rolls or slices of farmhouse bread
  • Mustard to taste
  • Optional: sauerkraut or gherkins

Preparation
 

Preparation:

  • Heat up the wood-fired grill and bring to medium heat.
  • Cut the rolls or bread in half and set aside.

Barbecue:

  • Place the sausages on the grill and grill for about 5-7 minutes, turning regularly, until they are evenly browned.
  • Place the bread halves on the grill for the last 2 minutes to toast them lightly.

Dressing:

  • Place the grilled sausages in the rolls or serve with the bread.
  • Garnish with mustard to taste and optionally add sauerkraut or gherkins.
