- 4 Roast sausages
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
For the smoky tomato and chili sauce:
- 1 Onion finely diced
- 1 Garlic clove finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 200 ml strained tomatoes
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare the sauce:
Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the onion and garlic until translucent.
Add the tomato purée and fry briefly.
Add the tomato puree, apple cider vinegar, honey, smoked paprika powder and cayenne pepper.
Simmer the sauce over a low heat for about 15 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
