For the Tarte Tatin
- 3 –4 aromatic apples e.g. Boskoop
- 120 g Sugar
- 80 g Butter
- 1 Roll of puff pastry
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Caramel & Apples
Slowly caramelize the sugar in the pan until light brown.
Add butter until creamy.
Peel the apples, cut into quarters, remove the seeds and cut into wedges, drizzle with lemon juice.
Layers & Baking
Place the apple slices in a circle in the caramel, allow to caramelise slightly.
Place the puff pastry on top and roll the edges downwards.
Bake in the oven (180°C) for approx. 30–35min.
