from the Rhône Valley

Roussanne is a white grape variety from the French Rhône Valley, where it is mainly cultivated in appellations such as Hermitage Blanc, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph or Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. It is often vinified together with Marsanne or Grenache Blanc, but also shines on its own with finesse, structure and ageing potential.

Typical for Roussanne are aromas of ripe pear, quince, honey, flowers, nuts, hints of wax, apricot, fine herbs and a pleasant warmth. Stylistically, the spectrum ranges from fresh & floral to full-bodied & mature to woody & opulent.

🔹 Young, fresh Roussanne: Floral, mineral, with fine fruit and freshness.
🔹 Roussanne in wooden barrels / matured: Full-bodied, creamy, with honey, wax and structure.
🔹 Roussanne in cuvées: Elegantly integrated, usually with Marsanne, Grenache Blanc or Viognier.

Roussanne goes wonderfully with poultry, shellfish, fish, herb cuisine, fine cheeses & oriental-inspired dishes.
