Wild garlic and wine: spring freshness in perfect harmony

When spring awakens, wild garlic is not far away. With its aromatic and spicy character, it brings fresh spice to the kitchen – whether as pesto, in pasta, soups or savory tarts. However, not every wine goes well with its intense, slightly garlicky aroma. The trick is not to mask the green, ethereal notes of wild garlic, but to accompany them harmoniously.

White wines with freshness, herbal spice and fine acidity are particularly suitable – such as a Sauvignon Blanc, a Grüner Veltliner or a Silvaner. But a fine rosé can also cut a surprisingly good figure with certain wild garlic dishes.
